Q-Tip Hints At New G.O.O.D. Music Compilation “If There’s A Cruel Summer There’s Gotta Be A Cruel Winter

G.O.O.D. Music’s Cruel Summer compliation just dropped and there’s already talk of a follow up that may come this winter thanks to Q-Tip. 

MTV caught up with the veteran MC on the red carpet of the BET Hip Hop Awards and he seemed to let the cat out of the bag.

After struggling to explain why he didn’t appear on CS, Tip, who was flanked by his G.O.O.D. cohort Pusha T, just spilled the beans. “I know, I know, I’m sorry about that but I have to let the cat out of the bag. Kanye’s probably gonna get…,” the former A Tribe Called Quest frontman said before stopping mid-sentence to call over Pusha T to help him with the big news.

“If there’s a Cruel Summer then there’s got to be a Cruel Winter right?” Q-Tip said, alluding that the G.O.O.D. crew will be following up with another album soon. “That’s all I’m saying.”

The rumors were true, 50 Cent and Fat Joe are about to take the stage together to perform a special tribute to Chris Lighty at this year’s edition of the BET Hip-hop Awards.

BET Issues Statement On Rick Ross Vs. Young Jeezy Altercation

As we previously reported, a fight between Young Jeezy and Rick Ross went down backstage last night during the taping of the BET Hip Hop Awards show in Atlanta. 

Despite initial reports of gunfire outside the venue, TMZ is reporting that Atlanta police say that didn’t happen although a fight did take place in the parking lot. Police used pepper spray to break up the brawl. 

BET has issued a statement regarding the drama last night. You can read that below. 

BET Networks works very hard to bring the best in entertainment to the city of Atlanta. For the past 7 years BET has celebrated the true art form of Hip Hop. Due to some misjudgment of select attendees, it is unfortunate that certain incidents took place. BET Networks does not condone any type of violence. Local authorities are working to resolve the situation as quickly as possible. Rick Ross and Young Jeezy got into an altercation and DJ Drama was there and recount what he witnessed.

“As I’m leaving I see Snowman on the way out […] I see Rick Ross walking, the two of them stopped right next to each other”

Game, 211 Brawl During Lil Wayne’s Birthday Party In L.A.

Lil Wayne’s birthday party was interrupted by a long-running feud between rapper Game and 211.

According to TMZ.com, the two rappers were involved in an argument that escalated into an all out brawl, during Lil Wayne’s 30th birthday party late Thursday, early Friday morning.

The rappers were at a Hollywood nightclub celebrating with artists like Chris Brown and Sean Kingston, when 211 allegedly approached Game.

Things quickly escalated and Game allegedly punched 211, causing a fight to break out.

Security guards contained the melee and booted Game from the nightclub.

In late September 2011, 211, who is affiliated with CTE, filmed an attack on rapper Boskoe, who was assaulted by Jomo “Rosemo700″ Zambia.

Rosemo700 was also beefing with Game at the time, until Rosemo700 was murdered in broad daylight in November of 2011, during a drive-by shooting in Inglewood, California.
